Grafting Workshop 10:30 to 11:00(Register Online via Eventbrite for workshop)
Scion Exchange 11:00 to 12:00Held at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Durham County Center (721 Foster St)
Do you want fruit trees but have little room to grow multiple varieties? Learn the cleft grafting method commonly used to add a different variety onto an existing fruit tree so that both varieties produce flowers and fruit.
After the workshop, join us for our annual scion exchange from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. February is the perfect time for winter pruning. Instead of composting the discarded branches (scions), exchange them with other orchardists and pick up some new-to-you varieties.
Visit Triangle Fruit and Nut Growers for instructions on how to collect scions or email KatCauseyEMGV@gmail.com.
