Virtual Info Sessions - Extension Master Food Volunteer Program

(Updated: Sept. 20, 2024, 10:54 a.m.)

Are you passionate about food, community service, and making meaningful connections? If yes, consider joining an information session for the Extension Master Food Volunteer (EMFV) Program!

The Durham County EMFV Program is for individuals who want to make a difference in the communities of Durham County through food-related activities and service. Whether you are an experienced home cook, a nutrition enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys the connection made while sharing meals, this program offers a unique way to share your passion and skills. Program volunteers will dedicate five Saturdays in late-January and February 2025 and receive specialized training in cooking, food and kitchen safety, nutrition, food systems and more.

To apply for the Extension Master Food Volunteer Program, interested individuals must attend an information session over Zoom to learn about training and volunteer expectations, meet Extension staff, and participate in a Q&A. A limited number of applicants will be accepted into the program.
