What is PFAST?
The Parent & Family Advocacy and Support Training (PFAST) program is a fun training offered at no-cost to Durham County residents. The training explains how to navigate your child’s school. During the training, we talk about different themes related to how to transform the educational experience for your child. Themes covered will include parent engagement, how to understand your child's report card and state exams, school choice, special programs such as ESL, AIG, and EC, and much more.
When: The virtual training will take place on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:15 PM starting on October 4 and running through November 29.
Where: This training will be offered online via Zoom and will be divided into 8 sessions of 1 hour and 15 minutes each. You will receive the Zoom link a few days before the training begins.
