Thank you to our Cooperative Extension volunteers!

(Updated: April 15, 2022, 6:12 a.m.)

It’s National Volunteer Week and we’re celebrating our amazing volunteers! Durham County Cooperative Extension’s volunteers have stayed incredibly busy- even during the pandemic. Virtual and remote volunteering continues as volunteers contribute to administrative, research, and technology-based projects for multiple program areas.  Volunteers also diligently serve in-person for several Extension departments while following COVID safety protocols. In 2021 alone, our volunteers provided 9,957 total hours of service to Durham County through our Cooperative Extension programs. This generous contribution of time has a market value of $258,683!

Thank you to our volunteers! We don’t know what we’d do without you!

If you’d like to get involved in our work contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator Erin Matoko at ematoko@dconc.gov or 919-560-7340.
