Got Goats?

Dairy goats are great for the family to all get involved.

If you do, or are thinking of getting a few dairy goats for your own goat milk, consider taking a class in the basic care, known as husbandry, of dairy goats.

I have a few goats of my own and there is a bit you need to know to ensure you have a wonderful experience.

We have a great beginner's workshop coming up that we are hosting at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Durham County office located at 721 Foster Street, Durham, NC.

We have Marti Day, the area specialized dairy agent, presenting an information session on the basics of goat care, how to handle the milk regarding food safety and how to process all that wonderful milk you will get from your new herd.
