World Hunger Day

Join Us for Durham’s 4th Annual World Hunger Day event! Sunday, June 8 from 3-6pm at Durham Central Park. This is a day to raise awareness and honor the incredible organizations working to eliminate hunger in Durham.

Strong Food Systems, Strong Community is our World Hunger Day 2025 theme. We’re bringing together all parts of our Durham food system for a day filled with learning, fun, and food!

Here’s what you can look forward to: Free food giveaways, music, food trucks, kids’ activities, community resources & giveaways, and much more!

How to get involved:
  1. Join us – Attend WHD on June 8 and be sure to tell family and friends about the event!
  2. Volunteer – We need many volunteers to make this great event happen. See details and sign up to volunteer
  3. Donate – Help ensure that everyone at the event can enjoy a meal from a local food truck.  Please consider donating to help your neighbors and community. The first 50 donors will receive an event t-shirt! Donate online via Paypal
Let’s come together to celebrate, support, and fight hunger in our community.
