Collapse ▲This course, which is an equivalent to ServSafe, is designed for food employees who are seeking food protection manager certification. Certification is based on passing the ANSI-approved exam from the National Registry for Food Safety Professionals. Certification is accepted throughout the US for 5 years from date of exam, and includes a certificate to be displayed in the workplace as well as a wallet card.
Course location: Alamance County Extension Office (209 N. Graham-Hopedale Rd. Burlington, NC 27217)
Class dates: Monday and Tuesday, September 23 and 24, 9am until 4pm with one-hour lunch break each day
Exam date: Wednesday, September 25, 9am - 12noon
Registration Fee: $125
Cost includes instruction, Safe Plates book & slides, 3 practice exams, and final exam
Registration will be due by Monday, September 9 at 5 pm via mail, email, or through this online form. (A printable registration form is attached as a file to this page). Payment due by (or on) the first day of class (September 23), via cash or check. Please make checks out to "Alamance County." Those who pay the registration before the course start date will receive the class materials (book, practice tests, etc) at the time of payment.
