Want to Become Your Child’s Strongest Advocate?

— Written By

If so, we have the class for you: Parent & Family Advocacy and Support Training (PFAST)! PFAST is a fun, no-cost training that explains how to navigate the public school system. During the training, we talk about different themes related to how to transform the educational experience for your child. This year’s sessions will also include topics related to supporting your child’s education during virtual learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the Spring of 2021, PFAST will be offered virtually through a Zoom meeting platform. You will be able to access the classes via telephone (audio only) or computer/smartphone/tablet (for full video and audio). Prizes will be offered to families each week.

To register for the class, visit this website.

The training takes place on Fridays from 3–4:15 p.m. over 8 weeks from February 5 to March 26. More information about the course can be found at: https://go.ncsu.edu/pfastfaq

If you have any questions about the program, please contact Christa Gibson at cgibson@dconc.gov or at 919-560-5438.
