Girl giving a speech.

Entertainment, Persuasion, Information:

Public Speaking is an acquired skill, not a born ability! Developing, refining, and delivering a speech with confidence, and clear elocution is a life skill that is both crucial and sought after. Fostering the growth of these skills and oratory techniques provides youth with a sense of accomplishment as well as real application experience to draw from as they progress through life. N.C. 4-H’s Public Speaking program provides youth the opportunity to develop these skills in a supportive, and positive environment, while having fun with friends and fellow 4-Hers. In this program youth research, write, practice, and deliver a 5-12 minute presentation on a subject they find interesting.

We will be having an orientation meeting on March 17th to find out all about the N.C. 4-H Presentation Program and our 2020 Pamlico County Program.
