Collapse ▲Welcome Baby, a program of N.C. Cooperative Extension in Durham County, is holding its Annual Coat Drive to gather coats to help keep children warm in Durham! Last year, the program reached record collection numbers and made nearly 400 coats available to children visiting the Welcome Baby Giving Closet (721 Foster St.). This year, coat collections are down, and the program is calling on citizens of Durham County to help meet this year’s goals.
Donors seeking to participate that only new or gently used children’s coats in sizes 0 to 7/8 are being collected. All sizes within range are accepted, with 4T and 5T being the most highly demanded sizes.
Donations are accepted at Welcome Baby’s office at 721 Foster Street, as well as at Durham County Library’s South Regional (4505 S. Alston Ave.), Southwest Regional (3605 Shannon Rd.) and North Regional (221 Milton Rd.) locations.
